Free of charge in Bruges and other cities!

After Deinze and Dendermonde, the use of Blue-bike is now also for free in Bruges thanks to the local, and the Flemish government.
The city wants to be a pioneer in cycle culture. Every bicycle could equal one car less in the city centre.

  • Membership of 10 € a year is necessary.
  • The local cost is both for residents and visitors.
  • The local cost is applicable for the first 24 hours. If you use the bike longer, the standard tarif of 3€ per 24 hours will be added.

1. Blue-bike rentals are free of charge. On top of that, the inhabitants can rent Blue-bikes elsewhere
free of charge as well:

  • Deinze
  • Eeklo
  • Hasselt (from April 2014)
  • Ninove (from April 2014)

2. Blue-bike rentals are free in these cities :

  • Bruges
  • Dendermonde

3. Blue-bike rentals cost 1€ :

  • Geel (from April 2014)
  • Herentals (from April 2014)
  • Lier 
  • Mortsel
  • Waregem

4. Special cases:

  • Ottignies : one rental per week per person is free whether it's a standard or electric Blue-bike.
